Circular Input Products Ltd., owner of the web site fastcooking.ca, is an online retailer of pressure cookers and supplies for lovers of fast, delicious meals. Our customers are mainly located in Canada and the United States. We are a family owned business and were federally incorporated in 2004.
A pressure cooker—why doesn't everyone use one? That's the question we asked in the summer of 2003. The question came about after coming across a cooking time table showing how fast pressure cookers were compared to ordinary cooking methods. We were stunned to learn that pressure-cooking was two to ten times faster than cooking methods we'd been using for years. Why hadn't we heard about pressure cookers before?
We then set about to find out what the differences were between the available pressure cookers. This took quite a bit of time—many, many days in fact. We concluded that a Fagor Duo offered a really great value and proceeded to try to buy one. It took several more days to find a Fagor for sale in Canada. This better be worth it, we thought. We finally found one and bought it.
After trying it out, we once again asked “why doesn't everyone use one of these?” We were amazed at how easy and fast it was.
Many pressure cooker meals later we were still asking the same question: “why doesn't everyone use one of these?” We decided to set out to try to educate cooks about pressure cookers by creating this web site and our online store.
